A2
: Chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloyed steel
Suitable for medium run tooling. This grade features good machinability, high stability after hardening and good wear resistance. AISI A2 can be supplied in various finishes, including the hot-rolled, pre-machined and fine-machined condition. It is also available in the form of hollow bar and rings.
AISI A2 is characterized by:
- Good machinability
- High stability after hardening
- High compressive strength
- Good hardenability
- Good wear resistance
D2
: High-carbon, High-chromium Tool Steel. Virtually non-deforming during heat treatment. High wear resistance, which increases with increasing C and V content.
O1
: Manganese-chromium-tungsten alloyed steel
A general purpose oil hardening tool steel suitable for back up and punch holder plates. Features of this grade include a good combination of high surface hardness and toughness after hardening and tempering.
AISI O1 is characterized by:
- Good machinability
