Franchisees Put Pedal to The Metal at 2016 “Driving to the Future” Conference
Congratulations are in order for many franchisees recognized at the 2016 “Driving to the Future” Metal Supermarkets Franchisee Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
Mark Foldy of Metal Supermarkets Fairfield, New Jersey, was awarded Rookie of the Year, which is presented to a new franchisee who has opened their store within the past two years. The award is presented to a franchisee who fully and consistently executes the Metal Supermarkets’ business system, displays a strong “start-up” mentality, focuses on business development and pushing for sales growth, and confronts the unavoidable challenges of a new store start-up with professionalism, positivity, and with a proactive mindset.
This year’s Franchisee of the Year was awarded to Henry & Michelle Dow, franchisees of Metal Supermarkets Baltimore and most recently, Metal Supermarkets Boston North. The Franchisee of the Year Award is presented to the franchisee who best exhibits excellence in operations, strength in performance, and a true dedication to the brand.

- Four Million Dollar Award – Team Metal Supermarkets Burnaby, led by Franchisee Tim Kemp
- Sales Growth Award – Team Metal Supermarkets Winnipeg, led by franchisee Norm Hanson
- Customer Service Award – Team Metal Supermarkets Ottawa, led by franchisee Chris O’Neil
- Safety Leadership Award – Team Metal Supermarkets Langley, Burnaby and Richmond, led by franchisee Tim Kemp
