Since 1955, the company has been making and machining forgings and other parts. Like the Metal Supermarkets stores, Trinity Forge emphasizes serving their customers’ needs. Trinity Forge’s Purchasing Agent, Louise Goodwin, purchases materials for all the company’s special projects. Since 2004, Goodwin has been ordering from Metal Supermarkets Fort Worth store when the company needs metal such as stainless steel or alloy angle, plate, tube or bar for special projects. As Goodwin explains, “I order on a need-to-have basis, and I know I can get what I need from them when I need it. … Metal Supermarkets’ service is excellent. They have a courteous staff and are very helpful. … They cut the steel to size for us and deliver the orders to us most of the time. I order from them several times a month. I’ve never had any problems.” Goodwin describes a few recent orders she placed. “We built special baskets for the furnace, and we needed some rectangular and square tubing. … We recently put in a new hydraulic hammer and we bought metal to build a stairway and scaffolding for the operators. We needed (round bars) for fencing, stainless steel for railing, and the engineers built steel tubs for finished parts.” The special projects vary in size and scope, but they are all treated with the highest priority. That’s because service is the Metal Supermarkets staff’s passion.
