Son is interested in welding and after getting him some starter equipment over Christmas and his birthday realized he needed material to weld (I am not a smart man obviously). So armed with all the metal knowledge I have gained in my life (close to zero) and having been told by the guy (great guy and very helpful) at AGL welding supply to google Metal Supermarkets in NJ I found you guys. Walked in and was immediately asked if I needed help. After explaining my son’s interest the guy helping me (apologies for not getting his name, my bad) listened as I explained I had no idea what I wanted, needed, or should buy. With some advice he welcomed me to take a look and grab what I needed. Bringing my selections up he somehow managed to keep a straight face as he explained nothing of what I grabbed is what I wanted and some of it could or would potential kill my son (again not a smart man). He walked me to where I was supposed to go if I could follow directions and helped me grab what I needed to get my son started. Rang me up, truthfully I had no idea what it was going to cost, if he told my that’s $958 bucks I would have been like, ok guess that makes sense, what the hell do I know. But was happy to find the price reasonable in a “explain to my wife how much money I spent” way. Great Team, Great Selection, Great Prices (I think), and over all a great experience and as long as my son does not burn the house down, we will be back for more as he develops his welding skills.

I bought material and it was very pitted and one piece had 2 drill holes in it. Need to have better quality control of what comes out of the wharhouse. I had to do a lot of sanding to smooth out the material and I mean a lot.. I am totally aware that the product sits and sometime needs prep work but this was bad. It added an extra 2 hours to me job.
