I went to Metal Supermarket because I had a problem with a broken trailer, and was looking for a way to make an in-field repair so I could take it home and fix things properly. One of the up-front employees listened to the problem and then took me back into the warehouse where he helped me search for the inventory for a metal pipe that would help me out. He looked up force and load specs for a couple of lengths before I settled on and bought exactly what I needed – that was a GREAT option. I only needed a small piece for the repair and it was cut to the inch, exactly what I needed, and I only waited for a short while.

A few days later I returned to find something to make a permanent repair and they had exactly what I needed. After a short conversation where they asked how the repair and the trip home had gone, they set me up with a new tongue for my trailer, again cut to exactly what I needed. I’ll be returning here for when I need more metal. Their prices were fair, their staff friendly and knowledgeable, and their service was GREAT.

I am glad this company is here locally, I am a hobby machinest and like to invent and make things. Whenever I needed a small piece of material I would have to visit various machine shops and fabrication shops looking for remnants that I could use. Lately those sources have dried up because they scrapped the remnants or they ordered just enough to finish the job. I didn’t need a full length piece of aluminum for my project and went looking at the stores that carry these ready metal displays but they did not carry a piece thick enough. So I looked online and found the metalmart store in Ogden, the only other sources were in Lehi or Logan. I visited the store and inquired about what I was looking for, the salesman said no problem and proceeded to have it cut for me. The price was reasonable and in the future I will be coming back for more supplies as needed. This is a needed business because all of the used metal businesses have disappeared and the scrap yards will not sell any of their materials to the public anymore.

The front counter people were very helpful and timely. Not sure who the individual was that was in the office behind the front counter but he was a bit loud and the language he used to the workers was not good. They did close the door but before the door was closed what I heard should not have been said or he should have closed the door so the world did not hear. He was basically scolding a female counter individual. I thought he was rude and a butt hole.
