Quality: I have found quality to be an issue with Metal Supermarkets. I have received deeply scratched tubes (we typically use them for handrails and architectural applications). One more quality issue is, just recently I requested to have some tubes cut to size and they were 1/8” -1/4” oversized. It required an extra hour of labor in my shop making them fit to size, (which I was hoping to gain due to having MSM cut them to size for me) if I knew they would’ve been that far off I would have cut them myself. Not a huge deal but definitely an area for improvement in the quality dept for MSM.
Pricing has also been a recent issue with MSM. Typically MSM always has the best prices, after the new tariffs, MSM is now the highest prices in the area. I will continue to use MSM for a lot of my material due to convenience of location, friendly staff and willingness to make customers happy. But yet another area for improvement.

I came to ask for help with a small community not for profit project for our conservation club; Blackhawk Field Archers. Hopefully I was given prices that were taking our club’s status into consideration but, we were charged tax because I did not have our EIN # handy. Anyway, I bought enough material to make a couple of ground quivers and explained this was all out of pocket expenses for our cause. In the future, maybe we could make ground quivers from materials that might be left over from other larger customer projects.

Your staff was very helpful both when I ordered the short pieces of cold roll and when I came back to pick them up. I will be back when I have a similar project and probably when I want to make a few more of these ground quivers for youth events we do around our area.
