Bright Annealing

Annealing in a protective medium to prevent discoloration of the bright surface. It is performed in a vacuum or a controlled atmosphere containing inert gases (i.e., hydrogen) to reduce surface oxidation, resulting in a brighter surface and a thinner oxide layer.
