A casting made by pouring metal into a preheated mold that is rotated or revolved to deliver components of high material soundness. The mold can be oriented vertically or horizontally depending on the configuration of the desired part. There are two types of centrifugal casting process – vertical and horizontal. centrifugal casting is the technology of choice for high-reliability applications such as jet engine compressor cases.
