Creep

Time-dependent strain occurring under constant stress, generally at elevated temperatures. The creep strain occurring at the diminishing rate is called primary creep; that occurring at a minimum and almost constant rate is called secondary creep; that occurring at an accelerating rate, tertiary creep.
