Metal Supermarkets provides all metal materials for 1980 CJ7 Jeep Restoration

When a local fabrication shop set out to build a “resto-mod” of a 1980 CJ7 Jeep, Metal Supermarkets Baltimore proved to be the ideal steel supplier of cut-to-size parts. A “resto-mod” defers from a traditional restoration in the sense that it embraces technological advances in the automobile industry and uses various modern auto parts to create an “updated” version of the car model. As a result, new custom steel parts are needed throughout the process, making cut-to-size metals in small quantities a necessity.

In the case of this CJ7 Jeep, the fabrication company replaced every single nut and bolt to achieve an amazing updated look and feel. The Jeep’s body and frame have been repaired, slightly modified, sand blasted and sprayed with a protective polymer. Currently, the crew is preparing to add a brand new 8 cylinder V8 Engine and a 4 speed transmission to the truck.

Kenny Belt, owner of Wits End Fabrications, was very pleased with Metal Supermarkets Baltimore’s service and quick turnaround on orders. “I will be making future orders with Metal Supermarkets. I need more metal to complete this build, along with the start of another project in the next couple of weeks.”
