Aluminum Plate 2024 is a flat shaped plate of 2024 aluminum alloy. 2024 Alloy is one of the best known of high strength aluminum alloys. It additionally has excellent fatigue resistance. 2024 Alloy is often used on structures and parts where a good strength-to-weight ratio is desired.
Aluminum 2024 plate is a legacy aerospace-grade material, offering a perfect blend of lightweight design and high mechanical strength. While it lacks natural corrosion resistance, this is often mitigated with anodizing or by using Alclad versions. When annealed, 2024 alloy is easily formed and may subsequently be heat-treated.
