Position Description:

The Customer Service/Sales Representative is responsible for providing customers with friendly, timely, accurate and superb customer service.  The Customer Service/Sales Representative will consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills, possess adequate product knowledge, and ensure the customer is fully satisfied.  This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hard-working individual who will have the opportunity to grow with the business and potentially work up to Management level.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Greet Customers in-person and answer incoming calls to take product and material orders accurately while possessing a positive attitude, communicating clearly, politely and persuasively, and ensuring the customer is completely satisfied.
• Assist with making outbound calls to market our products and services and engage new customers.
• Process and prepare customer orders based upon material and size specifications.
• Document account information in computer system and prepare materials for shipment or customer pick-up.
• Contribute to all aspects of running the branch/store operations including selling, purchasing, quoting, telesales, stocking, and material handling.
• Maintain branch safety, tidiness and orderliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must speak English and possess excellent listening skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Fluency in Spanish a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of customer service experience with demonstrated success. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience within the Metal Industry.
• Basic math skills with the ability to compute measurements, fractions & percentages in your head.
• Highly organized and possess the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Experience in Material Handling and Shipping/Receiving would be helpful.
• Basic Computer Knowledge and experience using MS Office.
• Possess the ability to lift objects up to 40lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Experience operating a forklift would be helpful.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen, over 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
